Why does Uncommon Media charge what they charge for wedding services?

Well... here's why.

The picture on the left (below) was Amber's very first Bridal session that was leading into a wedding, the shoot was in 2011. The picture on the right, was the most recent Bridal session she did the weekend of Easter 2024 that was leading into a wedding in April.

Amber has personally been working in the wedding industry since 2008 when she started assisting one of the main wedding photographers in Etowah County (at that time). She started her photography business in 2011 and followed up by shooting her first wedding the same year. The years in between it all bring A LOT of growth and knowledge that helps lead into a fantastic wedding day. Another thing that plays into the cost of wedding days is post-work. It's been discussed in multiple photographer groups that Amber is a part of that with every hour of shooting there's up to 8 hours of work post-wedding day. That makes 36 hours of work after an 8 hour day. There are so many things to put into the cost of our services and we've just listed a couple here. The knowledge, wisdom, growth and post-ceremony work is why Uncommon Media is confident in the fees they charge not only with photography packages but with videography as well.
